Job Description:



All parts positions require an overlapping of duties to maintain smooth operation of the parts department at all times. They assist external customers with parts requests to ensure that the correct part and possible extra parts required are obtained the first time. This includes identifying correct parts and locating them in inventory or ordering the requested part and ensuring prepayment. They are responsible to assure all parts are reordered for inventory. They also assist in the operations of the Parts Department by maintaining and tracking the parts inventory. This position is eligible to be a committee member of the OH&S Committee.

Required Education, Skills, & Experience:

Business certificate or equivalent preferred.

Ford Parts Counterperson Certificate must be obtained.

Two (2) years within an automotive Parts Department is an asset.

WHMIS 1988 & WHMIS 2015 required.

Valid driver’s license required.

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Advanced computer skills required with experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

CSA Approved hard-toe shoes required.

Working on concrete floors.

Using a computer extensively.

Utilizing physical and manual dexterity.

Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted.

Using equipment consistent with industry standards.

Driving a vehicle, forklift, and maneuvering trailers.

Clean, spacious department that the employee is responsible to maintain.

Well-lit working space.

Operate out of a windowed office with adequate office supplies, desk, phone, etc.
